“I’m a self taught artist, inspired by the simple things. I love painting our local landscape, flora and fauna. I occasionally get side tracked sketching and painting old beach shacks.”

Andrew has refined his palette and developed a bold and expressive style of contemporary landscape painting, both in oil and acrylic. He divides his time between his studio in Jan Juc and painting plein air - not only locally on the Surf Coast but also on traveling around Australia or overseas.

His caring and intuitive nature lends a sensitive, relatable approach to his artwork.

Over the last five years Andrew has evolved from hobbyist to part-time artist. His work also includes painting large murals, taking on commissioned sales and exhibiting across Geelong, the Bellarine Peninsula and the Surf Coast.

Living so close to surfing and wildlife reserves and neighbouring national and marine parks, Andrew is constantly reminded of the beauty and ancient history all around us here on Wadawarrung country. A place which we should never take for granted.
